Tin, Clock and Watches, Ceramics and Glass

The collection of historical tin contains almost 200 exhibits of both ecclesiastical and secular
character from the 17th to the early 20th century. Most of the exhibits are marked with both master and
city marks.

The collection of clocks and watches was created thanks to the acquisition activities of the museum

and donations from private individuals, especially thanks to the priest Josef Slavíček and the
private collector Jaroslav Líšek. For more than 130 years, almost 400 exhibits from the 17th–20th
centuries have been collected. In the collection we can find table clocks, frame clocks, picture clocks,
wall clocks, floor clocks and various curious types of clocks such as night clocks. Beautiful pieces
from four centuries represent the work of many famous and unknown clockmakers and carvers from
all over Europe. One of the most valuable objects in the sub-collection of clocks and watches is
undoubtedly the unique room astronomical clock by Jan Mašek from the 1930s.

The collection of ceramics contains 1800 objects. There are products not only from Czech

countries, but also from all over Europe and from China. The objects in the collection come from the
14th–20th centuries, prevailing ones from the 19th century. Significant are the late medieval tiles.
